4 September 2003

Athens, Georgia ethereal-twee duo Azure Ray are set to release their third full-length, Hold On Love, the first week of October in both Europe and the US. You can get a taste today courtesy of their European label, Berlin’s City Slang records—who have posted album track Sea Of Doubts for free download. Check our link.
The new LP’s full track listing will be The Devil’s Feet, New Resolution, We Are Mice, Look To Me, The Drinks We Drank Last Night, Across The Ocean, If You Fall, Sea Of Doubts, Dragonfly, Nothing Like A Song, These White Lights Will Bend To Make Blue, and the title track.
Next Tuesday, Saddle Creek, the band’s US label, widely releases a CD-EP titled The Drinks We Drank Last Night, featuring three non-LP tracks. It’s been available for a week direct from the label.
Long-time Azure Ray collaborator Eric Bachmann, aka Crooked Fingers and formerly in Archers Of Loaf, once again served as producer but this time went for a more coherent and happy sound, a bit of a pendulum swing from the radical, anti-pop minimalism of Azure Ray’s 2002 LP, Burn And Shiver. | Azure Ray on Saddle Creek | | City Slang | | Sea Of Doubt (full length MP3) | | top of page |
