Twinemen recording live CD series on upcoming US tour

Boston trio Twinemen are Dana Colley and Billy Conway from Morphine, along with vocalist Laurie Sargent, she previously in Face To Face as well as in the 9-piece Orchestra Morphine. The band’s name comes from a whimsical comic strip written by former Morphine frontman, the late Mark Sandman, about a ball of twine with three heads that represented his band.
    Twinemen begin a five-week US tour this Wednesday in Philadephia. They’ve teamed with Santa Monica, California-based Kufala Recordings, who specialize in taping indie shows and making high-quality CDs available to fans within days of the performance. They’ll record and release Twinemen performances in Denver, San Francisco, and Los Angeles over the next few weeks. You can pre-order any of the three discs now on the Kufala website.
    The band’s 23 October show in Cambridge, Massachussetts will benefit the Mark Sandman Music Education Fund.
