The Long Winters post MP3 preview of LP number two
31 March 2003
image
John Roderick’s new band The Long Winters are putting the finishing touches on LP number two, titled When I Pretend To Fall. It’s due for US release on 6 May from Seattle indie Barsuk Records. Producers for the twelve song set include the band along with Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie) and Ken Stringfellow (formerly of The Posies, and a touring member of Big Star and R.E.M. as well as a solo artist). I totally loved their first record, and can’t wait to get my hands on the new one.
Tracks on When I Pretend To Fall are Blue Diamonds, Scared Straight, Shapes, Cinnamon, Bride And Bridle, Blanket Hog, It’ll Be A Breeze, Stupid, Prom Night At Hater High, New Girl, The Sound Of Coming Down, and Nora.
You can pick up a free MP3 of Blue Diamonds from the Barsuk Website, or use our direct link. We hope to bring you a full review closer to the time of the album release. | The Long Winters on Barsuk | | Blue Diamonds (full length MP3) | | first LP review on Rockbites | | top of page |
