22 July 2003

Underground DC icon Ian Svenonius—front man for Scene Creamers and before that in The Make-Up, Nation Of Ulysses, and Weird War, as well as the person behind Mike Alway’s, Jeremy Butler’s, and John Austin’s faux-psychedelic-era pinup character David Candy—is producing his first-ever full-length. It will be the third album by DC rockers Metropolitan, the follow-up to their 2002 album Down For You Is Up.
Recording commences this fall at National Recording Studios in Washington. Leading up to the sessions, Metropolitan will play shows in Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, and DC. Check their site for details.
