David Hasselhoff lovefest gains strength on Amazon 3 February 2003
But in case you doubt it, or if you don’t, or if you don’t give a shit, I suggest that you check out the customer reviews for his import-only greatest hits album on Amazon (link below). Trust me. It’s worth your trouble. In the summer of 1999 a real fan of his music, it seems (apparently proving that there is one), started the chain reaction by writing “I bought this CD for my mom, and she LOVES it!! ” A year or so later someone calling themselves 'notyoume' called the LP “A masterpiece of original song writing and powerful soulful ballads.” Another year went by... another joke review. And then it started. Customer review headlines—all giving the CD five stars out of five—included “The very epitome of musical godliness,” “Obliterating the dimensions of music,” and “O Holy Hasselhoff!” As of this writing there are 540 customer reviews on Amazon.com of Looking For—The Best Of David Hasselhoff. Four dozen new reviews appeared last month alone, with gems like “Unleashes the Balrog from within,” “David H. = Buddha?,” and “I’m drowning in Hasselhoff, and I don’t want to be saved.” A UK fan calling himself Mr. I Flobbit wrote last year, of another Hasselhoff album, “It took me a very long time to get the cellophane off of this album but it was well worth the wait.” | Hasselhoff lovefest on Amazon | | David Hasselhoff | | David Hasselhoff is the AntiChrist | | top of page | |
