Ciccone to play benefit for Amnesty International
24 February 2003
image
London energy pop quintet Ciccone, who found early support a couple of years ago from BBC DJ Steve Lamacq, Swedish producer Nille Perned, and MTV Europe, recently lost their record deal for a debut album as startup Muff Records ran out of funds. That hasn’t stopped them yet, although they joke on their Website about donating their bodies to science.
No, for now they’re still alive and kicking, with a benefit for activist human-rights organization Amnesty International scheduled for Thursday, 13 March at the Railway Inn in Winchester, UK. Also playing that night will be The Go-Waves and Reverend Pike.
You can still pick up Ciconne’s debut single directly from Amazon UK (check our link), although last year’s All Stacked Up EP is currently out of print. | Ciccone | | The Railway Inn | | Amnesty International | | top of page |
