US date announced for Cocteau Twins reissue set
17 February 2003
image
With waves of feedback & reverb, deeply pulsing rhythms, and butterfly vocals sung in a made-up language, Grangemouth, Scotland’s Cocteau Twins changed the face of the post-punk world in the early ’80s. The band splintered in 1996, giving rise to numerous offspring including founding member Robin Guthrie’s duo project with Siobhan De Maré, Violet Indiana.
Cocteau Twins’ home label 4AD earlier this month re-released for the UK the band’s first four albums: Garlands (1982), Head Over Heels (1983), Treasure (1984), and Victorialand (1986), all remastered by Guthrie. They will appear as domestic US releases on 4AD on 3 June.
