Teenage Fanclub sign to Jetset for compilation CD
14 August 2003
image
Scotland-based pop gods Teenage Fanclub will release a 21 track compilation album next month on their new US label, New York city-based Jetset Records. It came out this past January for the UK on Poolside/Sony.
The new disc includes tracks from each of their six studio albums along with three new songs: The World’ll Be OK, Empty Space, and Did I Say.
If you’ve followed Teenage Fanclub through their 14 year history you know they’ve evolved with each new record, and you might wonder whether songs from A Catholic Education would work in context with others from Bandwagonesque or Grand Prix or Howdy. Oddly enough, they do, the fundamentally constant pop vision of the band’s three singer/songwriters providing the continuous thread.
    Here’s the full track listing:

  1. The Concept
  2. Ain’t That Enough
  3. The World’ll Be OK (new)
  4. Everything Flows
  5. Star Sign
  6. Mellow Doubt
  7. I Need Direction
  8. About You
  9. What You Do To Me
10. Empty Space (new)
11. Sparky’s Dream
12. I Don’t Want Control Of You
13. Hang On
14. Did I Say (new)
15. Don’t Look Back
16. Your Love Is The Place Where I Come From
17. Neil Jung
18. Radio
19. Dumb Dumb Dumb
20. Planets
21. My Uptight Life

We’ll bring you a full review closer to the US release date of 23 September. | Teenage Fanclub | | top of page |
