John Vanderslice launches Fourtracker tour, posts MP3s

San Francisco singer/songwriter/studio owner John Vanderslice hit the road this past Friday promoting his third full length, Life & Death Of An American Fourtracker, out tomorrow on Seattle’s Barsuk Records. His band plays tomorrow night in Austin, continuing across the southern US toward the east coast, then up to New York, and back west again for a closer on 25 May in Salt Lake City.
    The Vanderslice contingent for this tour is a trio that includes Vanderslice along with drummer Christopher McGuire (12 Rods, Kid Dakota) and bassist/guitarist/vocalist Bill Rousseau (The Monolith). Producer/engineer Jeff Byrd (The Mermen, Neurosis, Pinback, Fred Frith) runs sound and samples.
