All Girl Summer Fun Band contribute to benefit comp 6 May 2002 The six-day camp takes place in July at Portlands Native American Community Center, and accepts about 120 girls aged 8 through 18 who learn the basics of playing rock music on the instrument of their choice. This year, AGSFBs Kim Baxter will teach guitar. The forthcoming compilation CD is one of several benefit mechanisms to help subsidize camp costswhile the camps actual costs per girl are $1,000, the fee is just $50. Sponsors this year include IBM, Dr. Martens, and the Portland Songwriters Association.
