Luna sign with Beggars Banquet for UK; may tour

Dean Wareham’s NYC pop quartet Luna recorded their new album Romantica last year without a record deal in sight (see our review—link below). They hooked up in January with Jetset records for a US release, and the disc appeared stateside last month. The band have now revealed that a deal with Beggars Banquet will result in a domestic UK release on 10 June.
(If you’re in the UK, you’ve been able to pick up the album as a Jetset import since its 23 April US street date.)
Luna are in the midst of an extensive US tour which runs into the summer, closing with a two night stand at New York’s Bowery Ballroom on 28 & 29 June. Plans are beginning to come together for a European tour later this year. The remaining North American dates are
