Legendary Australian punk trio The Living End managed to create a blur of publicity recently when guitarist Chris Cheney, having just recovered from a car accident, found his band in disarray. Drummer Travis Demsey had left, citing musical differences, after five and a half successful years—much in the same manner of their first drummer, Joe Piripitzi.
But now the dust has settled and the band are back on track. After a few short weeks of auditions, The Living End have announced their new drummer to be Andy Strachan. Oddly enough, Strachan joins Australia’s premier punk act by way of radio friendly pop-rock group Pollyanna. He’ll begin rehearsing with Cheney & bass player Scott Owen for their third album when he completes the current Pollyanna tour supporting Australian pop/rockers Jebediah. | The Living End | | fan site | | top of page |
