The Notwist post MP3, video; set Europe tours

Berlin experimental collective The Notwist, who released their sixth full length album—Neon Golden—earlier this year for the UK and Europe (not so far for North America or Japan), have announced dates for a series of European tours starting next week and running through August (see below).
    They’ve also posted a full length MP3 file of the track One With The Freaks off the new album, and have posted a second video in QuickTime format. It’s for the song Pick Up The Phone and is equally whimsical and poignant, featuring some nice stop-motion animation.
    The Notwist (vocalist/guitarist Markus Acher, bassist Micha Acher, programmer/keyboards player Martin Gretschmann, drummer Mecki Messerschmidt) have been evolving their unique musical vision—spanning hardcore, chill, electronica, jazz, etc.—for 12 years. Busy with other projects—including Lali Puna and the Acher brothers’ other band The Tied + Tickled Trio, scoring film soundtracks, and touring—it’s been three years since the last Notwist album.
