JSBX, Yeah Yeah Yeahs for Bust mag benefit
5 March 2002

New York postmodern blues-rock trio Yeah Yeah Yeahs (guitarist Nick Zinner, vocalist Karen O, and drummer Brian Chase), in the midst of their first-ever US tour—and enjoying a healthy helping of major media hype—are set to play a benefit this Friday at New York city’s Knitting Factory club for the now independent women’s magazine/Website Bust.com.
Bust’s former publisher folded last year, but the mag’s founders have started over as a fully independent publication.
Also on the bill for the Friday benefit will be NYC based blues-rock experimentalists Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, who release their new album Plastic Fang on Matador next month and who have picked Yeah Yeah Yeahs to open for them on their upcoming European tour.
Friday’s Bust magazine benefit will also feature DJs and unannounced performing artists, including one “very special guest.” Bust magazine | Knitting Factory | | Tickets to event | | Yeah Yeah Yeahs | | JSBX on Matador | | top of page |
