Mudhoney in studio for new album in late summer
13 March 2002

Seattle grunge legends Mudhoney have revealed that they are in the studio with a new bassist for their first studio full length release since 1998’s Tomorrow Hit Today.
In 1999 the band re-connected with their original label, Seattle’s Sup Pop records, having split from major label Reprise after six years and three albums. Since then they’ve appeared a few times on splits and singles for Sub Pop.
They’ve been working since November on the new, not yet titled LP in at least three Seattle area studios: Egg, Gravelvoice, and Jupiter—recording a small number of songs with each of several producers. In December they signed with Sub Pop for the album release.
The current lineup sees Guy Maddison (ex Lubricated Goat and Bloodloss, the latter also a former Reprise act) on bass joining original members Mark Arm (vocals, guitar), Steve Turner (vocals, guitar), and Dan Peters (drums). | Sub Pop | | Mudhoney on Reprise | | fan site | | discography | | top of page |
