The Long Winters to record LP number 2 this summer 6 June 2002 On the tour The Long Winterswho include Harvey Danger front man Sean Nelson and Western State Hurricans drummer Michael Shillinghave become a stunningly tight band, as we were lucky enough to find out a couple of nights ago in San Francisco. Before they hit the road this spring they recorded demo versions of 13 new songs up in Seattle. Theyre booked for recording sessions in July, with producer and Long Winters studio member Chris Walla, on the way toward their second album with Barsukto be released as early as later this year. Their remaining tour dates are June 6 - Fresno, CA (Sancturay Stage Theater) 7 - Los Angeles, CA (Spaceland) 8 - Oakland, CA (Stork Club) 9 - Sacramento, CA (Capitol Coffee House) 15 - Seattle, WA (Paradox Theatre) | The Long Winters on Barsuk Records | | CD review from Rockbites | | CD from Amazon US | | top of page | |
