First 3 Go-Betweens records to get CD reissue next month 15 June 2002 The albumsSend Me A Lullaby, Before Hollywood, and Spring Hill Fairwill each appear as a double CD: the original album plus a bonus disc of previously unreleased material from the same time period along with a QuickTime video. Each album will feature the original artwork along with expanded liner notes and an essay. Go-Betweens founders Robert Forster and Grant McLennan, who pursued solo careers following the bands breakup in 1989, remained in touch and played together now and then. Last year they re-formed the band and, along with several friends including Elliott Smith, all of Sleater-Kinney, and most of Quasi, released the first Go-Betweens record in 12 years: The Friends Of Rachel Worth. All three double-discs hit US stores on 9 July. Looking forward, The Go-Betweens will be recording a new studio album in September in Australia, with release tentatively slated for early 2003.
