Ultimate Fakebook continue US tour for new LP

Lawrence, Kansas power pop trio Ultimate Fakebook, who returned to indie status last year after one LP with a major, begin the second and shorter leg of a national US tour tonight in their home state, continuing into August including half a dozen midwest shows on this year’s Warped Tour. They’ll end with a performance at the three-day, 99 band Furnace Fest at the Sloss Furnace National Landmark in Burmingham, Alabama.
    The band (Bill McShane on vocals & guitar, Nick Colby on bass, Eric Melin on drums) are promoting their intensely energetic April full-length Open Up And Say Awesome, out on Louisville, Kentucky’s Initial Records.
    Next week (Wednesday through Saturday) the band are shooting their next video in the Los Angeles area, and have invited fans to be extras. For more info contact Liz.
