Departure Lounge invite love-themed video submissions 11 July 2002
“If you have access to a film or video camera, we would like you to send us a short piece of film that illustrates what the words 'I love you' mean to you. It can be anything from footage of your loved ones, a monologue on what the words mean, a message to friends or enemies, an abstract shot, a scene of extraordinary beauty—anything you like, as long as you think it interprets what 'I love you' means to you “Ideally your film snippet should be around 15-20 seconds in duration and it can be with or without audio. Please note that we will not accept any work that contains material of an unsuitable nature or features copyrighted images from film or TV clips, photographs, etc. We will take excerpts from all the approved contributed footage and cut tem together with our own filmic interpretations to make the short. Everyone who contributes will be credited in the title sequence and will be sent a VHS copy of the finished film. All contributions need to reach us by the first week of August 2002.” So get shooting.
