Athens, Georgia experimental/twee duo Azure Ray have revealed that their second album will be titled Burn And Shiver. As with their stunning, self titled debut released last January, the new album will be available in the US on Athens indie Warm Electronic Recordings. Release date is 9 April 2002.
Just last week the band released their second disc, an EP titled November, on Nebraska’s Saddle Creek Records (also home to Bright Eyes, Desaparecidos, The Faint).
Azure Ray are multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Orenda Fink and keyboards player/vocalist Maria Taylor, both also in Now It’s Overhead and previously in Little Red Rocket and Bright Eyes. Fink is also in Eric Berg’s experimental pop act Japancakes.
As we mentioned last week, Azure Ray are confirmed to play this year’s Noise Pop festival in San Francisco. It’s part of a month long US tour starting 8 February in Denton, Texas.
