Stereo Total to support The Strokes in Europe 23 January 2002 Last year Stereo Total, on Bungalow in Germany, signed with Bobsled Records for the US and with new label Analog Baroque in the UK, founded by Nicholas Currie (aka Momus) as a sub-label of London based Cherry Red. Momus toured the US last fall with Stereo Total, where members of The Strokes met them at a show. Stereo Total sing in English, German, French, and Japanese. They draw inspiration from 60s French girl-pop, German cabaret, 70s disco, and 80s electropopnot to mention from the romantic dance/soundtrack genius of Serge Gainsbourg, the godfather of so much late 20th/early 21st century pop. Stereo Total are the best band in the world according to Momus. | Stereo Total | | Bungalow Records | | Bobsled Records | | Analog Baroque | | discography | | top of page | |
