Stereo Total to support The Strokes in Europe

Berlin global pop duo Stereo Total (French vocalist & drummer François Cactus and German instrument-maker/multi-instrumentalist Brezel Goring) are confirmed to open for rising US rock stars The Strokes for all dates on their forthcoming European tour, starting 23 February at Leeds University in the UK. The tour continues through the end of March, hitting Belgium, Sweden, Germany, Holland, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, and Ireland.
Last year Stereo Total, on Bungalow in Germany, signed with Bobsled Records for the US and with new label Analog Baroque in the UK, founded by Nicholas Currie (aka Momus) as a sub-label of London based Cherry Red. Momus toured the US last fall with Stereo Total, where members of The Strokes met them at a show.
Stereo Total sing in English, German, French, and Japanese. They draw inspiration from ’60s French girl-pop, German cabaret, ’70s disco, and ’80s electropop—not to mention from the romantic dance/soundtrack genius of Serge Gainsbourg, the godfather of so much late 20th/early 21st century pop.
