Buzzkunst album due in March worldwide
18 January 2002

Pete Shelley (Peter McNeish) and Howard Devoto (Howard Traford) first performed with their preeminently influential punk band The Buzzcocks 26 years ago but soon went their separate ways, Devoto launching his new wave/art project Magazine. Back in 2000 the pair got back together to record some songs, and at long last we’re pleased to report that the fruits of that collaboration have release dates.
They decided to keep their working title after all, so the new project will indeed be known as Buzzkunst. It comes out 25 February on Cooking Vinyl for the UK and other countries, and on 5 March on SpinART for the US.
Tracks are Can You See Me Shining, Strain of Bacteria, Deeper, Til The Stars In His Eyes Are Dead, On Solids, Self Destruction, You Are Still There, God’s Particle, A World To Give Away, Stupid Kunst, System Blues, So There I Was, Wednesday’s Emotional Setup, and Going Off.
Cooking Vinyl will release a single in advance of the album featuring a non-LP track. And the forthcoming Japanese release of Buzzkunst will include additional tracks not on the US/Europe editions. | Buzzkunst on Cooking Vinyl | | SpinART Records | | The Buzzcocks | | Howard Devoto | | top of page |
