Piehead Records launches with 11 limited edition LPs

Toronto based Piehead Records is a new project from Greg Clow and Sheryl Kirby, who’ve been at the forefront of the Toronto experimental music scene for nearly six years. The pair produce live shows through their Stained Productions, while Clow continues to host his weekly radio show Feedback Monitor on CIUT 89.5 FM, available on the Internet as well (check our link).
The inaugural release from Piehead will include 11 limited edition full length albums on CD, each by a different artist, available through a subscription program starting this spring. The label will release one album per month, with a bonus 12th CD containing a previously unreleased track from each of the artists.
Slated to appear on the Piehead CDs are Arc (improvisational guitar/electronic trio), C-Drik (solo artist who also plays in Ammo, Dead Hollywood Stars, Xingu Hill, and other bands), Andrew Duke (Halifax, Nova Scotia experimental producer), Hellothisisalex (analog techno from rural Ontario), I Am Robot And Proud (video game pop), I8U (Montréal minimalists), Marumari (sci-fi soundscapes), Multiplex (UK/Canada duo playing IDM), Naw (dub experimentalist), Uncotones (new duo with members of Dead Hollywood Stars and Silk Saw), and V/VM (Manchester noise act).
