Portland, Oregon twee-punk quartet The No-Nos have a new seven song EP available now directly (and exclusively) from their Website. It’s titled Let Your Shadow Out and will appear in stores on 19 March. You can also pick it up at the next No-Nos’ show, which will be in Portland at Berbati’s Pan on the 28th. Opening will be The Standard and No.2.
Singer Robin Bowser and drummer Heather Dunn founded The No-Nos back in 1995, and since then have put out two albums (1998’s Secret Luminaries and 2000’s Tinnitus, both still available) and several singles and EPs. Let Your Shadow Out is their first product in two years.
The other players in the band are guitarist/keyboards player Mike Clark (previously with Pudding, Rusty Martin, Anziano, and No Relation, and currently also with Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks) and bass player Ralf Youtz (Halo Benders, the Feelings, Sone, ex-Built to Spill).
The new EP comprises six original songs along with a cover of The Monkees’ Love Is Only Sleeping. The No-Nos are currently planning a US tour to coincide with the EP’s official release date. | The No-Nos | | Bigger And Bigger (full length MP3 from Tinnitus) | | Berbati's Pan | | top of page |
