Imperial Teen sign to Merge for April album 6 February 2002 IT were one among hundreds of bands left in the cold following the major label mega-consolidation frenzy of 1999, and say they are now very pleased to be with Merge (We couldnt be happier!). The band (Roddy Bottum, Lynn Perko, Jone Stebbins, and Will Schwartzall multi-instrumentalists) produced the new LP, titled On, in LA together with newlyweds Steve MacDonald (Redd Kross) and Anna Waronker (That Dog). On follows 1999s What Is Not To Love and 1996s Seasick. There are a few Imperial Teen shows on tap, starting next month at San Franciscos Noise Pop festival and Austins SXSW festival.
