Terrastock 5 festival announces initial lineup

The nearly-annual international psychedelic/noise music fest known as Terrastock will hold its fifth event this fall in Cambridge, Massachusetts, adjacent to Boston. A three day affair, it will all take place the weekend of 11-13 October at the Middle East nightclub.
    Previous Terrastock festivals were in Providence (1997), San Francisco (1998), London (1999), and Seattle (2000). As always, bands playing at Terrastock 5 will appear by invitation only.
    Full passes go on sale 1 March for US$70, and organizers state that there will be zero guest passes available, no exceptions. They expect to sell out quickly. Sometime in the next few weeks the Terrastock Website will announce how to buy.
    The tentative lineup (none yet confirmed), to somehow be crammed into a single venue on a single weekend, includes 6 Organs of Admittance, Acid Mothers Temple, Bardo Pond, The Bevis Frond, Charalambides, client/server, Damon & Naomi, Delicate AWOL, Dipsomaniacs, Ethereal Counterbalance, Ghost, Hopewell, The Hushdrops, The Iditarod, Kinski, Landing, Lily’s, Lockgroove, The Lothars, The Lucky Bishops, Barbara Manning & the Go-Luckys!, Motorpsycho, Paik, Sonic Youth, ST37, Stone Breath, Subarachnoid Space, The Sunshine Fix, Greg Weeks, and Windy & Carl. | Terrastock 5 | | The Middle East | | top of page |
