Parkinsons finish debut mini-album, set UK tour with Ikara Colt 1 February 2002 The quartet (vocalist Al, guitarist Victor, bassist Pedro, and drummer Chris) have now finished recording their debut mini-album working with Ben Lurie and Jim Reid of Freeheat, both formerly in The Jesus And Mary Chain. Its set for a late February/early March UK street date on the London based Fierce Panda label. Working title: Its A Long Way To Nowhere. The Parkinsons will stage a three week tour of the UK starting 24 February in Leicester, opening for London Britpunk quartet Ikara Colt. The dates are February 24 - Leicester (Charlotte) 25 - Northampton (Soundhaus) 26 - Exeter (Cavern) 27 - Cardiff (Barfly) March 1 - Sheffield (Barfly) 2 - Gloucester (Arts Centre) 3 - Birmingham (Academy 2) 4 - Leeds (Rocket) 5 - Newcastle (Uni) 7 - Manchester (Roadhouse) 8 - Edinburgh (La Belle Angele) 9 - Glasgow (13th Note Club) 10 - Liverpool (Lomax) 12 - Brighton (Concorde 2) 13 - Bournemouth (Old Fire Station) 14 - Bristol (Fleece) 16 - London (Garage) | The Parkinsons | | Fierce Panda | | Ikara Colt | | Ikara Colt on BBC Radio 1 | | top of page | |
