Portuguese glam punks The Parkinsons reside in London these days and are known as much for their disdain of clothing as for their New York Dolls/Sex Pistols/MC5 sort of down your throat rock attack.
The quartet (vocalist Al, guitarist Victor, bassist Pedro, and drummer Chris) have now finished recording their debut mini-album working with Ben Lurie and Jim Reid of Freeheat, both formerly in The Jesus And Mary Chain. It’s set for a late February/early March UK street date on the London based Fierce Panda label. Working title: It’s A Long Way To Nowhere.
The Parkinsons will stage a three week tour of the UK starting 24 February in Leicester, opening for London Britpunk quartet Ikara Colt. The dates are

26 - Exeter (Cavern)
27 - Cardiff (Barfly)
