Ciccone, still unsigned, get video play on MTV2

Unsigned London adrenaline pop quintet Ciccone (Rebekah Delgado on vocals & guitar, Micky Boy on vocals & guitar, Mr. Kev on bass & vocals, Damo Waters on drums & vocals, and Gareth Dennis Jones on keyboards) formed in 1999 and released their debut EP Forget Your False Mess'iahs in July.
    Cable channel MTV2 has just snatched their new video for Leggit—It’s The Rozzers, and will be playing it sporadically this month in the US. It would have received regular play if it was made with a higher budget, MTV2 told the band—or “if it HAD a budget” at all, says Rebekah.
    Ciccone’s music—get a taste of it on their Website—evokes images all over the musical map like some hectic dream of Elastica, the B-52s, Lush, The Damned, Blondie, and The Buzzcocks. But it’s a case of savvy quotation not plagiarism.
