Munich ambient/experimental quartet The Notwist (vocalist/guitarist Markus Acher, bassist Micha Acher, programmer/keyboards player Martin Gretschmann, drummer Mecki Messerschmidt) are now set to release their fifth (more or less) full length album, Neon Golden, at the end of January. A week ago they released a two song 12" EP available from online distributor Hausmusik. It includes forthcoming album track Thrashing Days b/w a remix of title track Neon Golden. Check our link for a free MP3 excerpt.
Neon Golden is The Notwist’s first album in three years, as the members have pursued a variety of side projects including the Tied & Tickled Trio, Village Of Savoonga, Potawatomi, Rayon, and Console. As The Notwist they play three dates this month in Munich: 13 and 15 September at the Hausmusik Festival, and 22 September at Jazzfest. | The Notwist | | Hausmusik | | Hausmusik Festival | | Thrashing Days (MP3 excerpt) | | top of page |
