Kings Of Convenience put out remixes album

Nowegian chill-dance-folk duo Kings Of Convenience (Erland Øye and Eirik Glambek Boe) splashed into the international music waters earlier this year with back-to-back US and UK albums—the two LPs sharing half the songs between them—that drew rave comparisons ranging from Nick Drake to Simon & Garfunkel to Radiohead. Now they’ve assembled an album of remixes and re-craftings of those songs, plus others from their EPs, due next week on Source/Astralwerks in the US and released this past Monday on Source in the UK.
    Collaborators on Versus are Four Tet (aka Kieran Hebden of Fridge), fellow Bergeners Röyksopp, Manchester DJ Riton, Erot, DJ Andy Votel, Evil Tordivel, David Whitaker, Alfie, Ladytron, and Bamboo Soul.
    Late last month KOC cancelled their debut American tour out of fears of further terrorist activity. They wrote “We discussed the matter thoroughly, without reaching an agreement. Our policy in these matters is that we don’t do things that one of us doesn’t want to do... We promise to be back when things have calmed down. In the mean time: pray for peace!”
    The band will still tour Italy next month as planned. The dates are
