Eric’s Trip return to Canada’s west coast for goodbye

(updated 24 Oct 2001) Moncton, New Brunswick noise pop quartet Eric’s Trip—who disbanded five years ago—played a Canada-only hello-again, goodbye forever tour this summer. But a skateboarding accident by front man Rick White in Calgary forced the cancellation of the band’s west coast shows in Vancouver and Victoria. They confirmed last month that they’d make up the shows, which are now set for the first week of November.
    All members of the band took time off from their current projects to stage the tour; namely the bands Elevator To Hell aka Elevator Through Hell aka Elevator; Moonsocket; and solo artist Julie Doiron.
    Eric’s Trip recently mastered and released a retrospective live album on Toronto based Teenage USA Records titled The Eric’s Trip Show. The LP includes tracks from a half dozen performances covering a span of five years.
