12 October 2001

London acoustronica/leftfield trio Fridge, led by prolific musical artist Kieran Hebden (Four Tet, remixer for His Name Is Alive) released their new album Happiness worldwide last month on their own label Text for the UK and on Baltimore, Maryland indie label Temporary Residence for the US and other countries. The set follows more than two years on from 1999’s critically acclaimed Eph.
On the morning of a major eastern-US tour, unknown individuals broke into the band’s grey Dodge tour van and stole their equipment. It happened yesterday in Arlington, Massachusetts, between 5 and 9 am. If you have any information that might lead to the recovery of the equipment, please contact Jon Whitney at jon@brainwashed.com or call the Arlington, MA police department’s detective bureau at (+1) 781-316-3910.
