The Parkinsons recording debut mini-album with Jim Reid

Portuguese glam punks The Parkinsons reside in London these days and are known as much for their disdain of clothing as for their New York Dolls/Sex Pistols/MC5 sort of down your throat rock attack. The quartet (vocalist Al, guitarist Victor, bassist Pedro, and drummer Chris) are working on their debut mini-album with Ben Lurie and Jim Reid of Freeheat, both formerly in The Jesus And Mary Chain.
    The not yet titled Parkinsons debut follows a couple of appearances of their track Bad Girl out last last month on a double vinyl EP and compilation CD-LP from Fierce Panda, who will put out the mini-album as well.
    The band have been playing around London with Freeheat, and are set for four more UK shows supporting them starting Monday in Leicester.

    Meanwhile, Freeheat recently announced a delay on the release of their debut album Retox, originally planned to see a UK street date of 5 November. They now expect the disc in stores 18 February.
