Cat Power returns with US/South America tour, new album

American experimental singer/songwriter Chan Marshall aka Cat Power is working on an all new studio album to be released next year on Matador. It will follow her March, 2000 release The Covers Record, which included 12 low key, understated interpretations of songs by Bob Dylan, Smog, The Velvet Underground, Moby Grape, The Rolling Stones, Chan herself, and more.
    Tonight she launches a North America/South America tour in Miami, then heads to Brazil and Argentina for a handfull of dates, and continues through a Thanksgiving show at The Earl in Atlanta. Her shows are
