The Notwist release Web-only remix; new LP in January
2 November 2001

For the one year anniversary of their MP3-a-month club, City Slang records has posted a five minute version of Berlin experimental collective The Notwist’s August, 2001 track Pilot, remixed by Console aka Martin Gretschmann, a sometime member of the band. You can download the MP3 from the City Slang Website for free by giving them your email address.
The Notwist (vocalist/guitarist Markus Acher, bassist Micha Acher, programmer/keyboards player Martin Gretschmann, drummer Mecki Messerschmidt) have been evolving their unique musical vision—spanning hardcore, electronica, jazz, etc.—for 12 years. Busy with other projects including the Acher brothers’ other band The Tied + Tickled Trio, scoring film soundtracks, and touring, it’s been a while since the last Notwist album. But City Slang promises a new studio LP from the band early next year, the follow-up four years on to 1998’ Shrink. The title for the forthcoming LP: Neon Golden. | The Notwist | | City Slang records | | The Notwist CDs on Huasmusik | | top of page |
