Multi-instrumentalist Bill Doss, founding member of Athens, Georgia psychedelic experimentalists The Olivia Tremor Control, has revealed that his debut full-length as The Sunshine Fix—delayed from an October release—will now come out 22 January 2002 simultaneously for the US & The UK on Kindercore/Emperor Norton. Titled Age Of The Sun, the set will feature guest appearances by drummers Neil Cleary (Essex Green) and Ryan Lewis (The Four Corners), and bass player Derek Almstead (Of Montréal).
The forthcoming album follows last year’s debut EP, The Future History Of A Sunshine Fix. It’s 16 tracks will be Age Of The Sun, Ultraviolet Orchestra, That Ole Sun, Everything Is Walking, Digging To China, A Better Way To Be, An Illuminated Array, See Yourself, Inside The Nebula, Hide In The Light, Sail Beyond The Sunset, A 93 Million Mile Moment, Mr. Summer Day, 72 Years, Cycles Of Time, and Le Roi Soleilor.
Breaking with past OTC tradition, Doss will take the show on the road ahead of the LP release. The dates are
