San Francisco bay area experimental trio Secadora will play a benefit for SF’s Film Arts Foundation this Saturday afternoon titled Gear-O-Rama, along with Deadweight, Ft. Erie, Pep Squad Somnambulist, and The Stratford 4. All proceeds will go to the Foundation, which supports developing filmmakers—past success stories include Terry Zwigoff (Ghost World) and Marlon Riggs (Tongues Untied).
Secadora released their debut album this past May on Keiki Records, titled Little Pieces Of Paper, and followed it with their 7" single One Minute Automobile b/w Out Of The Valley, available direct from the Little Echoes Records Website. And the band just scored a front page mention on MP3 site Epitonic, where you can download some of their music. (Epitonic is offline today but promises to return Friday.)
After the benefit this Saturday, Secadora’s next appearance is on the 11th at San Francisco’s The Make Out Room, opening for Inner. Secadora Little Echoes records | Make Believe (full length MP3) | | Secadora on Epitonic | | Film Arts Foundation | | CD from Amazon US | | top of page |
