Gordon Downie/Julie Doiron live Webcast from Toronto

New Brunswick born singer/songwriter Julie Doiron, who guests on the new solo album by The Tragically Hip’s front man Gordon Downie, will appear on stage with him tomorrow evening at an invitation-only concert at Toronto’s Manta Sound studios. The event will be Webcast live by Yahoo! Canada, Umbrella Music, and Maple Music starting 8 pm EDT (1 am BST).
    Downie will perform songs from his new album Coke Machine Glow, and read poetry from his book of the same name. Doiron will accompany him for his song Trick Rider, to be taped for an upcoming video release for Coke Machine Glow. Also appearing with Downie tomorrow evening will be more than a dozen artists going by the title The Woodchoppers Association, as well as poets Ken Babstock and Chris Chambers, and dancer Andrea Mann.
