The Soft Boys plan new studio LP
18 May 2001

Neo-psychedelic godfathers The Soft Boys, buoyant from successful reunion tours of the UK and the US, have revealed that they are heading into the studio to record their first album together in more than 20 years. Details are scarce to absent, but the result should certainly be interesting. Singer/ songwriter/ front man Robyn Hitchcock is one of those extraordinarily rare musical artists who continues to evolve and grow as he ages, without losing the energy and outlook typically tied to youthful angst.
The Soft Boys in March released a 20th anniversary edition of their swan song album Underwater Moonlight, complete with lots of extra tracks and a bonus CD of studio and bedroom demo tapes. For fans this is a very good thing, as all other material from the band’s catalog has long been out of print. | The Soft Boys on Matador | | Insanely Jealous (full length MP3) | | Robyn Hitchcock | | Kimberly Rew | | bio | | discography | | CD | | top of page |
