Henry Rollins, outspoken social critic and travelog author, formerly vocalist with LA punk gods Black Flag, has released a double-CD spoken word album available only from his Web site. Live At The Westbeth Theater was taped 11 December 1999 in New York city. Tracks on the US$14 set are Intro, Canadians Are On The Move!, Jr. Pilot League, Worchester Mass., Mars Needs Aryans, I Smell A Ratt (parts 1 to 4), Back After the Break, As The Crow Flies, and The Undoing Of A Man (parts 1 to 5).
Rollins’ label 2.13.61 also recently released A Rollins In The Wry, a single-disc spoken word performance from spring 1999 in Los Angeles; and the double-DVD set (NTSC, coded for all regions) Talking From The Box/Rollins Goes To London.
Rollins is on a spoken-word tour now in Australia and New Zealand running through 7 May. He then takes his one man show to Europe and the UK for dates through 4 June. Rollins Band, his current hardcore vehicle comprising himself on vocals and LA’s Mother Superior behind him, hit the road with this year’s Warped Tour for nine eastern US shows, 1-9 August. | Henry Rollins | | bio | | discography | | top of page |
