Plaid ready new album, set US dates
23 March 2001

This May, UK electronica pioneers Plaid (the duo of Ed Handly and Andy Turner, formerly in Black Dog) release their first new album since 1999’s Rest Proof Clockwork, titled Double Figure. And next week they begin a selective tour of European and US cities, playing festivals in Indio, California on 28 April and in Rome on 30 April. They’re tentatively scheduled for a show in San Francisco next week and in New York on 2 May.
Plaid’s label Warp Records has posted a full-length MP3 file of the new album track Squance, and next week will start selling a limited edition, reduced price 3-track album sampler from their online store.
By the way, both the official Plaid site and the Warp Records site are worth visiting for their Web interface innovation. | Plaid (IE5 + Flash Player 5 required) | | Warp Records | | Squance (full length MP3) | | discography | | top of page |
