C Average release Second Reckoning
15 March 2001

Olympia, Washington minimalist retro metal duo C Average (Jon Merithew on guitar and vocals, Brad Balsley on drums) release Second Reckoning, the follow-up to their 1998 self titled debut, next week on Kill Rock Stars—but you can get it now directly from the KRS store. The track listing is Starhok, The Witch, Egrane, Parchmens Farm, Buckler, Strider ’88, and Prolock (The Protector) phases I through IV.
Tens of thousands of Pearl Jam fans were introduced to C Average without necessarily knowing it three years ago when the band backed Eddie Vedder for his 1999 performance at the Tibetan Freedom Concert near Chicago. Having mounted the stage and performed a few songs solo, Vedder invited the duo up from the audience—posing as fans—to help him out. Only later did Vedder confess they’d been rehearsing together.
C Average play a one-off tonight at Meow Meow in Portland, Oregon with Coco and Space Ballerinas. They expect to announce a tour soon. | C Average | | C Average on Kill Rock Stars | | American Jim (from 1st LP, full length MP3) | | The Witch (full length MP3) | | bio | | discography | | sample from self-titled debut (1998) | | CD | | top of page |
