Up and coming Seattle five piece Pretty Girls Make Graves—Murder City Devils/Death Wish Kids bassist Derek Fudesco on bass and vocals; vocalist Andrea Zollo, also from Death Wish Kids and The Hookers; drummer Nick DeWitt of DeWitt Bros. and Bee Hive Vaults; guitarist Nathan Johnson, also from Bee Hive Vaults; and guitarist/vocalist Jason Clark from Kill Sadie and Sharks Keep Moving—start a four date tour of California on 11 July.
They’ll be playing all dates with the godmothers of Riot Grrrl, Bratmobile, and with El Paso dub quartet DeFacto, formed five years ago by At The Drive In vocalist Cedric Bixler and guitarist Omar Rodriguez. (Rodriguez announced in March while on tour with DeFacto that ATDI were 'going on an indefinite hiatus'; since then DeFacto have been very active.)
PGMG, named after a 1984 Smiths song, just released their debut EP. You can pick up a vinyl version now from sound-virus.com, while a CD version comes out next month on Dimmak Records. Tracks are 3 Away, Modern Day Emma Goldman, Liquid Courage, and Head South.
Following their Cali dates with DeFacto and Bratmobile, PGMG may play one more LA show before heading back north for a two-show performance in Redmond, Washington at the Redmond Firehouse on 20 July, and a 26 July show at the Paradox in Seattle.
Here are the upcoming Pretty Girls Make Graves/ DeFacto/ Bratmobile tour dates

July
11 - San Francisco (Slims)
12 - Anaheim (Chain Reaction)
13 - San Deigo (Che Cafe)
14 - Los Angeles (Troubadour)
