Pretty Girls Make Graves to tour California 28 June 2001 Theyll be playing all dates with the godmothers of Riot Grrrl, Bratmobile, and with El Paso dub quartet DeFacto, formed five years ago by At The Drive In vocalist Cedric Bixler and guitarist Omar Rodriguez. (Rodriguez announced in March while on tour with DeFacto that ATDI were 'going on an indefinite hiatus'; since then DeFacto have been very active.) PGMG, named after a 1984 Smiths song, just released their debut EP. You can pick up a vinyl version now from sound-virus.com, while a CD version comes out next month on Dimmak Records. Tracks are 3 Away, Modern Day Emma Goldman, Liquid Courage, and Head South. Following their Cali dates with DeFacto and Bratmobile, PGMG may play one more LA show before heading back north for a two-show performance in Redmond, Washington at the Redmond Firehouse on 20 July, and a 26 July show at the Paradox in Seattle.
