GYBE!, A Silver Mt. Zion to release new material soon

Montréal experimentalists Godspeed You Black Emperor! are booked to record their third full length album this October with Chicago based producer Steve Albini (Low, Breeders, XBXRX). This summer they’ll tour, previewing some of the forthcoming new material.
Meanwhile, GYBE! side project A Silver Mt. Zion are working on their second album, the follow up to 2000’s 'He Has Left Us Alone But Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corners of Our Rooms...'. And members of ASMZ recently performed with fellow Montréaler (by way of Victoria, British Columbia) Frankie Sparo, in Amsterdam, for his upcoming four song EP to be titled Arena Hostile. Constellation Records expects to release the EP late August for Europe, early September Stateside. It will feature ASMZ arrangements of three songs from Sparo’s stunning 2000 debut My Red Scare. | Godspeed You Black Emperor! | | A Silver Mt.
