The Incredible Moses Leroy touring US for second LP
25 June 2001

The Incredible Moses Leroy, led by former San Diego schoolteacher Ron Fountenberry (he named the band after his great grandfather, a union leader in Texas) released his playful, joyous, and remarkable second album Electric Pocket Radio in April. Since then he’s been playing select dates here and there. This Thursday The IML head out on a brief tour that will hit west coast, midwest, and eastern US cities and includes a spot on the roster for the first annual Village-Voice sponsored Siren Music Festival at Coney Island, New York.
Electric Pocket Radio follows the band’s 1998 debut full length Bedroom Love Songs, self produced and now hard to find. The new set was produced by Keith Cleversley (Flaming Lips, Spiritualized) at his Playground Studios in Chicago, with additional sessions in LA with Joey Waronker (drummer for Beck, Elliott Smith) and engineer Wally Gagel (Folk Implosion, Eels) for the new album’s hidden track She Can’t Get Any Sleep. Electric Pocket Radio is out on Culver City, California’s Ultimatum Music.
