Berlin based electronica minimalist Marc Weiser, who along with video artist Lillevaen Pobjoy is known as Rechenzentrum (English: data processing center), released his debut, self titled album last year following a series of EPs and singles. Weiser also produces such acts as Tarwater, Laub, and Elektronauten, co-organizes Berlin’s annual Club Transmediale international music/ media festival, and sings for his other band Le Hammond Inferno.
Rockbites has just learned that the series of tracks recorded in January for the John Peel show on BBC radio will be released shortly on CD. Of the seven tracks taped for the session, four were broadcast on BBC Radio 1: Aufbruch, Unterwegs, Noch Dabei, and Wieder Unterwegs.
Rechenzentrum are heading out on tour this coming Sunday in advance of the new album’s release, hitting England, Germany, Switzerland, and The Netherlands. Here are the dates

June
24 - London (ICA)
28 - Mannheim (Feuerwache)
29 - Konstanz (TBA)
30 - Zürich (Substrat Festival)

July
