Atari Teenage Riot synths player Nic Endo together with bandmate Hanin Elias founded Digital Hardcore sub-label Fatal last year, home to Elias’ solo releases and to such bands as Brighton, England’s Lolita Storm.
Last week Endo released for the UK and Europe her wild and intense debut album Cold Metal Perfection on another DHR sub-label, the experimental/electronic oriented Geist (English: ghost). The 11 track set hits stores 10 July in the US and follows her 1998 White Heat EP, available Stateside only as an import.
Tracks on Cold Metal Perfection are Man-Eater, The Program And The Brides, Mask Identity, Le Sacrifice (Cercles Mysterieux), I Didn’t Exist, Neon Sunrise, Heroines, Black Light Rituals, One Night Domination, Heroines Part 2, and Crystalline Circuits. The disc also includes a bonus video, the extreme hardcore title track to Endo’s debut EP.
Tonight Endo plays the More Than Music festival in Columbus, Ohio along with Alec Empire and a slew of other interesting artists including I Am Spoonbender, Suicide, and The Thrones. On the 19th she plays an invitation only show at CB’s lounge in New York city with a “very special guest.” | Cold Metal Perfection CD from Amazon UK | | Nic Endo on DHR | | Nic Endo interview on Free Radical Sounds | | discography | | top of page |
