Reunited Eric’s Trip to tour Canada
12 June 2001
image
Underrated and prolific ’90s Moncton, New Brunswick noise pop quartet Eric’s Trip dissolved back in the summer of 1996 after three great albums, several EPs, lots of singles, countless cassettes, and some compilation appearances. Members went on to form the bands Elevator To Hell aka Elevator Through Hell aka Elevator, and just plain Moonsocket; bassist/vocalist/songwriter Julie Doiron played solo for a while as Broken Girl before taking back her name.
Rockbites is very pleased to report that all four original members of the band—vocalist and guitarist Rick White, guitarist Chris Tompson, drummer Mark Gaudet, and Doiron—are back together and planning a tour of Canada for August and September. Dates are still under wraps, but we can report that the tour will begin 12 August and end on Canada’s east coast in early September.
Meanwhile, White is just about finished compiling an Eric’s Trip live album, to be released on Toronto-based Teenage USA Recordings (Elevator’s label, and Canadian home for Peaches). The band will sell the live album on the tour. | Eric's Trip on Sub Pop | | Fan site | | Teenage USA Recordings | | Julie Doiron | | bio | | discography | | top of page |
