Pinback ready 2nd LP, announce North Am tour dates

San Diego, California pop masters Pinback started in early 1998 as a project of Armistead Burwell Smith IV (aka Zach) who’d just left Three Mile Pilot, and Robert Rulon Crow Jr. (aka Rob), in Thingy (still) and formerly in Physics, Heavy Vegetable, Optiginally Yours, Line Out, Snot Nose, and Fantasy Mission Force. They released their self titled, sometimes lo-fi debut in August of that year (it was re-released in late 1999), and a four track EP this past September.
    They’re now all finished with their second album, the 12 track Blue Screen Life, due 30 September in Europe on R/S Records and 22 October in the US on Ace-Fu. We’ll bring you a full review closer to the release date.
    Pinback start a major North American tour this Thursday at The Casbah in their home town, running through 26 August. Here are all the dates
