Low to open for Breeders first official reunion show 3 July 2001 The 14 July Low/Breeders performance at Chicagos Congress Theater comes on the heels of The Breeders finishing up sessions for their comeback album, recorded last month with Low producer Steve Albini. Twins Kim and Kelly Deal, the core of The Breeders, first got back together two years ago to contribute to The Mod Squad soundtrack and promptly announced theyd release a new album in 1999... but better late than never, right? Their label 4AD is no doubt very pleased. Meanwhile, Alan Sparhawks other band, Black-Eyed Snakes, have finished recording their debut album and expect to release it by August accompanied by ...a few shows around the country [the US] in the fall. Here are Lows upcoming tour dates, with more expected as they are confirmed July 13 - Minneapolis, MN (Orchestra Hall: 24-hour festival) 14 - Chicago, IL (Congress Theater, w/ The Breeders) September 1 - Seattle, WA Seattle (Bumbershoot Festival) October 25 - Columbus, OH (Wexner Center at Ohio State University) | Low | | The Breeders | | bio | | discography | | sample | | top of page | |
